Most Welcome in Latur City

The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee who is on a two day visit to Latur arrived in the city today evening through a special aeroplane of Air Force. Governor of Maharashtra, K. Sankarnarayanan, guardian minister of Latur, Satej Patil, Governor of Punjab, Shivraj Patil Chakurkar, mayor Smita Khanapure welcomed him with bouquets.

Additional revenue commissioner of Aurangabad region, Gokul Maware, incharge collector, B.L.Giri, Sandeep Bishnoi, SP B.G.Gaikar and others were present. The president and other dignitaries headed towards the government guest house after this reception programme. The president will attend the valedictory ceremony of Dayanand Education Society tomorrow (1 June) at 10:30 am. The glittering vale-dictory ceremony would take place on the play ground of the society where a huge pandal has been erected. As many as four gates have been made for the entry. The people have been advised to carry their Identity cards. Entry passes have been already distributed to all the invitees.
